Well, he said we could write about a youtube video.
There is a very controversal youtube video that you have to be a member to see, but someone told me about it, and chuckled. I dont know if any one else has seen it, but it definetly wasn't funny. It took place on a city bus, and I think that it's a fine example of modern day racism. An old white guy asked a young african american man how much it would cost for him to "shine his shoes". Understandably so, the young man began a fight, calling the old guy racist, and taking the first swing. The old racist, claiming "self defense" unexpectantly pounds the young man's face several times. Blood was dripping down his face, and the old man just hopped off of the bus. The entire incident was caught on camera, and as a frequent bus rider, it was down right scary to watch! However, the comments about the video mostly defend the old white guy, it was just disgusting. Has any one else seen this?

...Are we watching the same video? Dude deserved to get his ass beat. The video starts part way into the argument as is, so you don't know what happened to start all of it, but when the video starts they're already talking shit. Just from what we see in the video the dude was just talking shit trying to be tough. The old dude goes up to the front of the bus, dude follows him and talks more shit, then because the old dude says "i slap the shit out of tough guys" dude goes back up there and gets his fucking ass beat. No if old dude was black and black dude was white, old dude would still be right. It doesn't matter, I'm not defending the old guy because he's white or old, I'm defending him because the dude hit him first and the dude overreacted. *prepares for being called a racist because of this*

I feel after years of segration and discrimination asking how much it would cost for him if the guy shined his shoes is begging for disaster, I still wish the black guy would have beat the old man into cardiac arrest. Everyone has thier opinions though, and they both were talking shit. But also, who saw that old man actually being capable of turning that guy into a human punching bag? He had some hidden strength. I think the young guy didn't defend himself because he was in shock. But still if that happened on the city bus I would be so scared. I've been on the bus when people start laying into one another, and its not fun!
