Any music listeners while writing?
Hi all. Anyone out there listen to music while writing? If so, what kind? I listen to soundtracks, classical, and other stuff. What do you guys and gals think? Does this help or hurt homework?

Well I love to listen to music when doing my homework or just surfing the internet but I have found it to be distracting and I don't understand my work as much. It's very calming and I really enjoy it but it's very difficult for me to zone in on only one thing at once when two things are happening at once.
ReplyDeleteI usually listen to random things depending on my mood.
i dont do that cause its really distracting but some of my friends cant study without listening to music..each one has his own view in such a case
ReplyDeleteI like to listen only when I'm typing an assignment because it doesn't really distract me then. If the assignment is like a Rickert reading, I can't concentrate with the music though.
ReplyDeleteHonestly it all depends for me. sometimes it helps me relax and block out all other distractions and other times I kinda like to make it a distraction trying to put off my homework just for a little longer.
ReplyDeleteI can't get through my homework without listening to John Mayer! It's very relaxing and helps me focus. However, I'm not really able to listen to rap and things of that sort because it makes me want to get up and dance instead of getting my stuff done!
